"I always thought the devil’s eyes would be red, not blue..."
After waking from a horrendous car accident, med student Skye Rowan finds her life has been tipped upside down. On the run from blue eyed, demonic creatures who will stop at nothing to find her, she turns to a family of hunters for help. Irresistibly drawn to each other, she brings with her the handsome doctor who cared for her in the hospital. But they soon discover this isn't the first time their paths have crossed. In a life neither of them remembers, they were once tangled in a web of betrayal that drove them apart and a war began in the ashes of their love. Is it too late to salvage what they once had?

Unlike her "Witch Fairy" series I did find it difficult to get into this book. Skye seemed so whiny and helpless in the beginning having no recall as to why she was on some supernatural hit list. Her life was one big mystery as her past memories were gone and her relationship with Roman seemed stilted to say the least though further into the book we uncover the history between them. Zane is one hot guy who forms the other part of the love triangle and he steams up the pages with Skye on more than one occasion. He is such a lovable rogue which compliments Roman's dark brooding persona. Secrets are revealed and a hidden agenda causes havoc in their lives plus Skye is feeling drawn to both men so that amps up the sexual tension. I loved Brielle as she was this snarky kick ass girl who battles these huge supernatural creatures with such a minimalist approach yet you would want her in your corner if you ever went into battle. She kind of reminded me of Kenzie out of the show "Lost Girl" someone who was thrown into the deep end and had to fight her way to the surface. Defending her friends and family with her life yet still retaining that innocence and naivete looking for the good in others. I think this will develop into a great series and look forward to reading more from this author.Product details

Marked Secrets of the Djinn Book 1 edition by Bonnie Lamer Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
Great story, wish there were more books in the series. I'm so impatient!!
Hmm... what to say about this book? It was an ok debut. Well I be reading the next installment? Maybe. I liked the story line and I liked the flow of the writing. I am just not a fan of the triple love triangle. **small spoiler alert** I really really didn't like the fact that throughout the whole book, Skye, the main heroin, was practically boning Roman, the second main heroin. Then all the sudden Zane comes into the picture and now she's boning him. I get it, sometimes a love triangle brings books together but to make the main character jump beds like that makes it seem very trashy and believe me I am NOT one for modesty and love my sexy sex scenes but it still seemed trashy to me. So this was my only complaint as it made the characters less relatable. So... yes this was an ok book.
I couldn't put the book down! What a story, I truly enjoyed this book! Bonnie is an excellent writer an what an imagination! I've enjoyed all her books can't say enough wonderful things about her writing!
Excellent fantasy romance series. I was looking for more after reading 16 installments of the Bonnie Lamer's Witch Fairy series, and this is just what I wanted. I love all of her books and I look forward to each new one.
This is a very different read than Bonnie's other series. It's more adult which I loved. But I couldn't connect with the main characters. I personally feel the background to the djinn should have been better explained. Even though Skye and Roman have no idea who they are. Like a glimps into the past before she gets to present day so the reader has some clue and sense of what is going on. At this point, I will read the next installment to see if I get more clarity. I gave it a 3 star rating because I like the concept... It just needs a better flow.
This is a really good book. When I first starting reading the book I was mesmerized. This is the type of book that peaks interest in reading. My daughter who is 24 years younger than me will be reading this book next. So no matter what age you are its interesting. You can't hide teens from all sex and words. They learn them from somewhere. I would rather they ask me the parent instead of their friends about these scenes. Great Author, thank you.
This Novel is a Roller coaster of ups and Downs. I Enjoyed every Minute of it. To The point I Had Read the whole book in one day. I Am sure I could of finished it sooner then I had, Alas I had Little ones to tickle and feed. Bonnie Lamer who writes the Witch Fairy Series, Bring to us an Adult Novel that Sucks you Right in. This is the First in the series, I Truly Can Not Wait For the next one. Lots of Ouchie moments, and A Cold shower here or there. All Around FUN And Awesome Read!
